What it is

Therapy assistants provide practical, goal-focused support to help people continue working towards their therapy goals in everyday life. Working under the guidance of our Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapist, qualified allied health professionals, therapy assistants can help individuals practise strategies, build skills, increase confidence and support greater independence.

Therapy assistants can complement the services provided by our occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Support is tailored to each person’s individual goals and needs and may be provided at home or in the community. Therapy assistants might help you to engage in cognitive activities, physical exercise programs, creative activities and accessing your community.

This service may be available through NDIS, aged care funding and private funding, depending on individual circumstances and funding arrangements.
