Ways to fund our services

There are several ways to fund our services, depending on your circumstances. Here is a quick overview of each, and if you are not sure which applies to you, call us. Helping families work that out is part of what we do.

Private Health Insurance Many private health extras policies cover allied health services such as occupational therapy and physiotherapy. Cover varies a great deal between funds and levels, so it is worth checking your annual limits before you start. We can provide an itemised invoice suitable for a claim after each session and tell you what a session costs up front so there are no surprises.
Medicare-funded services If your GP has prepared a relevant care plan, such as a chronic disease management plan, some sessions may attract a Medicare rebate. A number of our mental health and wellbeing programs can also be funded through Medicare. The number of rebated sessions per year is capped, so it is worth planning how to use them. Speak to your GP or ask our team and we will help you work out whether you are eligible and what the gap payment would be.
NDIS funding We are a registered NDIS provider. If your plan includes capacity building or therapeutic support, we can work with you whether you are plan-managed, self-managed or NDIA-managed. We also complete NDIS functional capacity assessments. Younger onset dementia is well within our experience, and we can help you evidence the support you need at plan review. Talk to us or your support coordinator about how to get started.
Other Funding Pathways If none of the above apply, you are welcome to access our services privately on a self-funded basis. We will also point you toward any other schemes you may be eligible for, including DVA / carer support or other, there is often more available than families realise.
Aged Care funding If you have a Home Care Package or Support at Home funding, you may be able to use it to access Memory Nurture’s services. Memory Nurture has existing brokerage agreements with several aged care providers, making it easy for their clients to access our services through their aged care funding. If you are not sure if you can use your funding for our services, get in touch with our team and we can talk through your options.
